Zagreb has a wonderful climate with a convenient geographical position. There are many museums in Zagreb which speaks of the rich history of the European continent.

The Archaeological Museum in Zagreb, an attraction in Zagreb, houses over 400,000 varied monuments and artifacts, collected from various sources. Along with history of Croatia this museum houses some rare collections. The most famous collections are the collection of numismatic, the Zagreb mummy and the earliest Etruscan inscription on the bandages. There are Roman period stone monuments placed in a particular area of the museum.

The Croatian Natural History Museum is the home to a large Neanderthal collection. You will find tools, stone weapons and other things belonging to the Krapina man of preshistoric era. There are over 250,000 specimens of artifacts in the museum.

The Association of the Braca Hrvatskog Zmaja established the Museum of the City of Zagreb in 1907. The museum is housed in Popov Toranji, which was restored.You can find historical evidence of the political, economic, artistic, cultural and other aspects of the city starting from the Roman period to the modern era.

See the oldest machine of Croatia in the Technical Museum in Croatia. The machine belongs to 1830 and is still in a fine state. The displays of the Technical museum are machinery, cars, several historic aircraft and more. The Nikola Tesla Study, the Mine, the Apisarium and the Planetarium are some of the separate sections of the Technical Museum.

Donation from Ante Mimara Topic made the establishment of the Mimara Museum possible. In 1987 it was opened for public. The museum is housed within a neo-Renaissance palace dating to late 19th century. There are over 3,750 artifacts belonging to diverse civilizations and cultures.

The Museum of Contemporary Art houses a rich collection of contemporary arts of Croatia and other places.
